Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to verify driver identification, truck information, and required documentation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must meet all company and client hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility’s truck gate.
• Verify driver identification, vehicle information, and delivery or pickup documentation.
• Confirm trucks are authorized to enter or exit the property.
• Maintain accurate records of truck arrivals, departures, and gate activity.
• Inspect vehicles and trailers in accordance with site procedures.
• Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, shipping and receiving personnel, and site management.
• Enforce facility access-control policies and security procedures.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, safety concerns, or policy violations.
• Report incidents, suspicious activity, and operational concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with traffic flow and maintain an orderly gate operation.
• Operate security equipment, access-control systems, radios, and other assigned tools.
• Complete required logs, reports, and documentation accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and move throughout the assigned post as required.

• Must be able to visually inspect vehicles, trailers, identification, and documentation.
• Must be able to use a telephone, radio, computer, and other assigned security equipment.
• Must be able to respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, when required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
