Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Truck Equipment Installer/Welder to assemble, install, and service components on light and heavy trucks. You will read prints and use mechanical aptitude to build to spec, welding and fabricating as needed to meet customer requirements.

You will maintain shop equipment, perform repairs, and ensure all systems—electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic—operate safely and reliably. A hands-on role with focus on quality.

Qualifications

• GED/HS diploma or experience.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and basic math.
• Ability to use crane and hoists.
• Ability to use power tools and machinery.
• Auto mechanical experience preferred.
• Welding, hydraulic and electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble truck components to specification.
• Install and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication to build or modify parts.
• Maintain shop equipment for safe operation.
• Complete repairs and replace malfunctioning parts to restore operation.
