Job summary

Spokane Computer Inc. is seeking a truck equipment installer to assemble and install beds and components on trucks in our Winston-Salem shop. You will read work orders, perform test drives, and assist teammates while building a variety of truck configurations.

The role requires basic wiring, tape measure use, and a valid NC driver's license. Pre-employment physical and drug testing are required; some personal tools are needed for the job.

Qualifications

• Must have valid NC Driver’s License and transportation to and from work.
• Ability to follow written, oral or diagram instructions.
• Ability to communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Pre-employment physical and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Install truck beds and various components on trucks.
• Operate and test drive vehicles in-shop as needed.
• Read and understand work orders.
• Cross-train with teammates.
• Troubleshoot problems and perform repairs.
• Basic wiring as part of installation.

Job description

Install truck equipment components by performing the following duties.

• Has ability to read and understand work orders.
• Operate forklift, (training will be provided if needed)
• Install various truck beds and necessary components on trucks.
• Ability to drive vehicles in and out of the shop and test drive when needed.
• Ability to read tape measure/ruler.
• Ability to work beside and interact with other teammates.
• Trouble shoot any problems and make necessary repairs.
• Cross Training
• Basic Wiring
• Some personal tools are required.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have a valid NC Driver’s License, and transportation to and from work. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Pre-employment physical and drug test will be required.
