Job summary

Monroe Truck Equipment in Joliet, IL is seeking a Truck Equipment Installer to inspect, repair, service and assemble light and heavy-duty trucks. The role requires reading prints, following instructions, and using mechanical aptitude to create solutions.

You will perform welding, fabrication, and install electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, ensuring an excellent customer experience and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and have basic math knowledge.
• Ability to use Crane and hoists.
• Ability to use power tools and machinery.
• Auto Mechanical Experience (Preferred).
• Welding, Hydraulic and Electrical Experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble various truck components to specification per customer requirements.
• Install and/or maintain all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on assigned projects and builds.
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks in order to build, modify, and follow specifications.
• Maintain shop equipment for safe use in operation.
• Complete repairs and replace malfunctioning parts to return working operation of truck components.
