Job summary

U‑Haul is seeking an Engine Specialist (Mechanic) to diagnose and repair gasoline engines on our fleet of trucks and trailers in Burlington, WA. You will inspect vehicles, identify worn parts, replace components, perform preventive maintenance, and use welding equipment as needed to keep engines running smoothly.

This full-time role offers a $100 hiring bonus, hourly pay between $27 and $29, and comprehensive training through Ford and GMC programs to help you grow.

Qualifications

• Diagnose mechanical and drivability issues in gasoline engines.
• Repair or replace major or minor engine parts and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on engines and chassis.

Responsibilities

• Determine vehicle condition by inspections and tests.
• Overhaul and repair engines; disassemble and replace worn parts.
• Install timing gears, crankshafts, bearings, and drive systems.
• Maintain and repair engines and perform lubrication.
