Job summary

Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI) is seeking candidates to train as Class A CDL drivers in Indianapolis, IN. Trainees will learn to safely operate equipment, complete CDL licensing requirements, and join a best-in-class driver team after training.

You will start with classroom and in-truck training, earning up to $800 per week as a student, with starting pay up to $70K annually depending on experience and job type. DTI offers a path to full driver status with benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Class A CDL permit required.
  • Ability to pass Class A CDL test within three attempts.
  • Haz-Mat and tanker endorsements are obtainable during training.
  • Ability to pass our physical ability test (PAT).
  • Must read, speak, and comprehend English.
  • High school diploma or GED may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate DTI equipment to transport product.
  • Comply with all DOT/FMCSA and governing body requirements.
  • Load and unload dry and temperature-controlled goods.
  • Meet company goals for MPG, fuel purchases, idle time, and speed.
  • Read and understand DTI load paperwork and product descriptions.
  • Identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

You’ll make money as you train to get your Class A CDL license at an approved driving school or one of our in-house programs. Once you have your CDL license and complete our training, you’ll be a best-in-class truck driver on the DTI team.

WHAT DTI DRIVERS DO
  • Safely and efficiently operate DTI equipment to transport product
  • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements set by the Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and any other governing body
  • For all jobs, load and unload dry and temperature-controlled goods
  • Meet established company goals, including managing MPG, fuel purchases, idle time, and speed
  • Read and understand DTI load paperwork and product and packaging descriptions
  • Identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
Job Requirements
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Class A CDL permit

  • We offer a variety of schedules with guaranteed days off and a traditional schedule to meet you and your family's needs.
  • DTI drivers work in all conditions and on weekdays, weekends, days, and nights
  • Regular physical activity required for all jobs; must be able to safely lift on average 14 pounds and at the most around 60 pounds
