Job summary

Ryder in Marion, VA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to deliver freight with a focus on safety and reliability. The role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, sign-on and loyalty bonuses, and 90-day or quarterly incentives.

Start time is AM dispatch and the schedule runs Sunday through Friday, with nights out 4-5 times per week. Expect 2500–3000 miles per week, Solo miles at 0.55–0.62 per mile, and 19.05 per stop plus performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 1 year of flatbed experience OR 2 years in last 5 years OR 5 years in last 10 years.
• Must pass Ryder drug test and background checks including motor vehicle records.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with federal/state laws and safety guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating safety hazards and maintaining logs.
• Loading/unloading freight as required and safe cargo handling.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.55 - $0.62 for per Mile with 2500 - 3000 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$19.05 per Stop with 3 - 7 Stops per Week
• Nights out: 4-5 Times Per Week
• Safety Bonus:Pays You $500 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
• Sign on Bonus:Pays you $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
