Job summary

gpac is seeking a Driver Recruiter for a well-established transportation company with 40+ years in business. You will recruit truck drivers, respond to inbound leads, and develop new candidates through cold calls, referrals, and online platforms.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong people skills, recruiting/sales experience, and knowledge of DOT regulations. You’ll attend job fairs and ensure compliant hiring practices while building a robust driver pipeline.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations and shipping requirements for all modes of shipments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and act on inbound leads
• Assist with weekly reporting and driver retention
• Develop leads for all roles through referrals, cold calls, online platforms, and other resources
• Ensure all hiring practices comply with federal and state laws
• Recruit qualified candidates and maintain a driver count appropriate to the needs of the location
• Heavy haul truck driver recruiting process a plus
• Experience in Truck driver recruiting process/ Screening, Vetting and driving records, Interviews, Physicals, and References
• Must be willing to attend job fairs and extracurricular activities in order to recruit
