Job summary

Town of Wendell Highway Department is seeking an experienced Truck Driver/Equipment Operator to fill a permanent full-time position in Wendell, NC. The job involves road work, equipment operation and maintenance, and snow plowing.

A valid CDL and a Hoister's License are required. This is a 40-hour position with summer hours 6:00–4:30 Monday-Thursday and winter hours 6:00–2:30 Monday-Friday, with overtime as earned.

TOWN OF WENDELL HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

TRUCK DRIVER/OPERATOR

The Town of Wendell seeks an experienced Truck Driver/Equipment Operator to fill a permanent full- time position. Must be willing to perform a variety of tasks; road work, equipment operating and maintenance, and snow plowing. A valid CDL and a Hoister's License are required. This is a 40-hr. position; 6-4:30 M-Th in the summer, and 6-2:30 M-F during the winter, plus OT as earned. The pay rate is $29.54 per hour.

Full benefits will be offered starting at completion of a 90-day probationary period. A full job description is available on request. Medical exam is required prior to start of employment, at the town's expense.
