Job summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a truck driver/operations specialist to join our team in Onida. This role will haul agronomy products to local customers, and assist with site operations when driving is slow. It is a Monday–Friday daytime position with overtime opportunities in our busy spring season.

Ideal candidates will hold a Class A CDL or be willing to obtain one. The job emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork within a rural Ag environment managed by CHS Inc.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
• Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
• Deliver products safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations including hours of service.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform grounds and warehouse maintenance.
• Report safety or customer issues promptly.
• Maintain strong safety culture.
• Perform other assigned duties

This is a Monday- Friday, daytime role, with overtime opportunities available during our busy season each spring.

Our ideal candidate will have a Class A CDL in hand, but we are willing to help the right candidate obtain a CDL license if needed.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations
• Must meet minimum age requirement
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Additional Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
• Valid Class A CDL preferred
• Agriculture background preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75 lbs
• Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
