Job summary

CHS Inc. in Onida, SD is seeking a Truck Driver/Operations Specialist to haul agronomy products locally and support site operations when driving slows. The role is Monday–Friday, daytime with overtime during spring peak.

A Class A CDL is preferred, with help available to obtain one. The ideal candidate will have CDL-related endorsements or be willing to obtain them, have strong safety discipline, and enjoy working in a farming community.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in Operations/Trucking Operations
• Must read, write and communicate in English
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Maintain or obtain CDL and DOT medical card
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
• Valid Class A CDL preferred
• Agriculture background preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
• Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
• Deliver products safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations including hours of service.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform grounds and warehouse maintenance.
• Report safety or customer issues promptly.
• Maintain strong safety culture.
• Perform other assigned duties
