Job summary

CHS Illinois in Lowder, IL is seeking a Truck Driver/Operations Specialist to drive during the growing season and perform operations tasks in the off-season. A Class A/B CDL with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain is preferred.

The role is Monday–Friday with weekends as needed in peak season. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, equipment operation, safety compliance, and maintaining inventory. CDL and DOT medical card preferred; agriculture background is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL preferred.
• Agriculture background preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
• Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
• Deliver products safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations including hours of service.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform grounds and warehouse maintenance.
• Report safety or customer issues promptly.
• Maintain strong safety culture.
• Perform other assigned duties
