Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Allentown, PA is seeking a Class NON CDL Truck Driver to join our local team. This position offers weekly pay, solid benefits, and a driver-focused culture designed to respect your experience.

Expect a start time around 4:00 am with a Monday–Friday schedule and no weekends. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision after 30 days, PTO from day one, and a company-paid training program to get you up to speed on equipment and routes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Must pass Ryder drug test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle within route and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and routes
• Assist with loading/unloading freight when required
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and company policies
• Support customer service by timely deliveries

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.55 per Mile with 1300 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$14.50 per Stop with 25 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $40 per night with 2 nights per Week
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday NO WEEKENDS
• Start Time: 4:00 am

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
  • 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

This position does not require the operation of CDL-regulated equipment. However, candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
