Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Rochester, MN is hiring a Non CDL Truck Driver on a local, home-daily route. You’ll drive box trucks 26', with pallets, and deliver within a 150-mile radius of MN.

Earn $24.15 per hour, paid weekly, with a guaranteed 40-hour week, paid training, and a quarterly safety bonus. Start time is 6:00 AM, Monday–Thursday with occasional Fridays. Ryder provides medical/dental/vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1, uniforms and boot allowances, 401(k) with company match after 1 year,

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Must have verifiable driving experience (if operating a straight truck or box truck).
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle on local routes and complying with safety regulations.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Maintains accurate records and assists with loading/unloading freight as required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience

• Pass a Ryder Drug Test

• Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):

• 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR

• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR

• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years

• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

• Pass a DOT physical

• Pass a Ryder road test

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards

• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
