Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Carson, CA is hiring a NON-CDL Truck Driver to join a safety‑minded team. The position pays $23.00 per hour with 40–50 hours weekly, weekly pay, and paid training.

You will deliver solo to Southern CA, home daily routes, box truck 26', manual pallet jack and lift gate, perishable goods. Benefits start after 30 days and include medical, dental, vision, PTO, retirement plan, uniforms and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment.
• 6 months past 3 years OR 2 years within last 5 years OR 5 years within last 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
