Qualifications

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering, receiving, and transporting furniture, artwork, and other merchandise to residential and commercial locations, airports, seaports, or rail ports. Customer service is a top priority as you will be the face of the company.

Essential Functions:

1. Drive trucks with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport and deliver cargo, materials, furniture, or artwork.
2. Maintain radio or telephone contact with the base supervisor for instructions or dispatch.
3. Keep truck logs according to regulations.
4. Obey all traffic laws.
5. Record materials and products transported.
6. Secure cargo with blocks and ropes.
7. Inspect, clean, and service the vehicle.
8. Operate equipment to load, unload, or disperse cargo.
9. Obtain customer signatures or collect payments as needed.
10. Assist in loading and unloading the truck manually.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
12. Candidates must be enthusiastic, hardworking, well-groomed, and punctual.
13. At least 2 years of commercial truck driving experience.
14. Knowledge of local trucking routes.
15. At least 2 years of fine furniture handling and moving experience.
16. Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
