Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers in South Windsor, Connecticut. Drivers will make local dock-to-dock deliveries and will be home daily. The position offers an average salary of $92,000 annually, a $3,000 annual safety bonus, and a robust benefits package.

You will drive

• Late‑model Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best‑in‑class specs designed for comfort
• Equipped with inward and outward‑facing in‑cab cameras to ensure safety

What you will do

• Make dock‑to‑dock deliveries of palletized grocery products
• Pallet breakdowns not required
• All local deliveries; drivers will be home every day

Schedule

• Multiple schedules available
• 11 pm start time
• Additional $200 incentive for picking up an extra day

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non‑excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• English language proficiency required for compliance with federal law
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner; accept responsibility for own safety and safety of others

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Must move frequently, stand, walk, and sit; use hands to touch, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg)
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
