Job summary

Clayton County Transportation and Development seeks a Truck Driver I to operate dump trucks and support maintenance projects. You’ll load, transport, and unload materials to sites, with daily safety pre-trip inspections and on-site traffic flagging.

A valid Georgia CDL-B is required, plus 2 years’ experience preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Georgia, offering growth within the transportation team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Valid Georgia Class B CDL is mandatory.
• Two years of experience operating and driving equipment for maintenance/construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate single and tandem axel dump trucks to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to/from work sites.
• Load, unload, and secure materials and tools; perform daily safety and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Flag traffic and direct on-site safety; assist with minor repairs and routine maintenance.
• Operate additional light vehicles/equipment as needed and participate in weather or emergency responses.
