Ryder is hiring a NON CDL Truck Driver in Portland, ME, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. The role features local home daily routes, box trucks, and paid training.

You will start at $22.50 per hour for 40–45 hours per week, with a start time of 9:00 PM. Includes a $1,000+ weekly pay promise, sign-on bonuses and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum 6 months verifiable driving experience.
• Pass Ryder drug test.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle and comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with loading/unloading if required.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards; comply with laws and company policies.
• Deliver local routes (Local Home Daily) and operate box trucks (16' and 26').
• Support day-to-day operations and adapt to responsibilities as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $22.50 Per Hour

• Hours Per Week: 40 - 45 hours per week

• Sign On Bonus:Pays you $500 at 30 days and $500 at 90 days

• Schedule: 5-day work week off Sunday and 1 day during the week.

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.

• Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards

• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer

• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience

• Pass a Ryder Drug Test

• Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):

• 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR

• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR

• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years

• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

• Pass a DOT physical

• Pass a Ryder road test

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
