Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking a full-time Truck Driver to deliver building materials to customer job sites, operate a forklift, and keep the lumber yard organized. A valid state-issued driver’s license and a safe driving record are required.

Be at least 21 years old and able to read and speak English to communicate with customers and understand highway signs. Basic FMCSA requirements apply, with potential for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the public and read traffic signs.
• Provide annual copy of MVR and violations list as required by FMCSA.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial vehicle as per FMCSA.
• Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
• Complete a driver’s road test and hold a valid certificate.
• May be required to hold a commercial license depending on truck/hauler.
• May require a valid Medical Exam certificate or card.

Responsibilities

• Build loads for delivery and unload freight (lumber and building supplies).
• Operate forklift; obtain certification as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lumber yard and warehouse.
• Communicate delays or discrepancies to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate communication, time management, and forklift operation skills.
• Keep management informed of delays or discrepancies.
