Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Millwood, WV is seeking local CDL Class A truck drivers for full-time, home-daily routes. Expect 7:00 AM dispatch with Monday–Friday work and occasional weekend peaks. 50–60 hours weekly, local shuttle runs, and dock deliveries are common.

Compensation includes $26.40/hour with overtime after 40 hours, an average annual salary around $70,000, plus a $7,500 sign-on bonus. Comprehensive benefits, uniforms, and retirement plans are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and U.S. domicile with residency in state
• DOT medical card valid/current
• 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• Clean DMV/MVR record with few incidents
• Compliance with federal/state laws, regs and safety standards
• Ability to work the required schedule and background checks including drug screening

Responsibilities

• Shuttle aluminum products between locations by local routes
• Perform dock deliveries and pickups

• Occasional tarping as needed

You will drive:

• Late-model Freightliner and Volvo trucks, including Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
• Equipped with inward- and outward-facing in-cab cameras to help ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Shuttle aluminum products safely between locations
• Make dock deliveries and pickups
• Secure and unsecure loads
• Perform occasional tarping as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and transportation regulations
• Conduct routine vehicle and equipment inspections

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• AM dispatch
• Occasional weekend work during peak periods
• Average 50 to 60 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
