Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver for a regional route based in Lexington, NC. The role offers competitive weekly pay and a sign-on bonus, with paid training and comprehensive benefits.

Expect a schedule Sunday to Friday, regional routes to multiple states, and a sleeper tractor with a 53’ dry van. Minimum experience: sleeper experience and 1 year with tractor-trailer, with end-to-end safety and compliance emphasis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background & Motor Vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT Physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lexington, NC. Pay ranges from $1600 to $1800 on average per week, and the company offers comprehensive benefits, training, and a supportive driving career.

Pay & Schedule

• Weekly Pay: $1600 – $1800 average
• Solo Miles: $0.56 per mile (approximately 2000 miles per week)
• Solo Stops: $21.00 per stop (20–25 stops per week)
• Sign‑On Bonus: $1250 after 30 days and $1250 after 90 days
• In‑Truck Nights: $65 per night (3–5 nights per week)
• Backhaul Program: $50 pickup + $50 delivery per trip
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Sunday to Friday

Routes & Equipment

• Solo routes to: NC, SC, GA, MS, AL, TN, VA, WV, OH, MI, PA, IL, IA, MO, MN, WI, MD, NJ, NY
• Route Type: Regional
• Tractor: Sleeper
• Trailer: 53’ Dry Van
• Freight: Touch‑Window & Doors; Tailgating window & doors; Slide windows & doors from inside the trailer to the back door for scanning
• Sleeper experience: Minimum 1 year (or 9 months within the last 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years)
