Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking Immediate Opportunities for Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers in Champlin, MN. You will drive late-model Penske trucks, with 48' and 53' trailers, and enjoy home daily schedules. Earn $35.64 per hour with overtime after 40 hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include vacation coverage driving, liftgate deliveries, touch freight, and 20–25 stops per week. Dispatch 9:00 PM–2:00 AM; 40–45 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and state residency required.
• Current or able-to-obtain DOT medical card.
• 1–2 years tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2–5 years in the last 5 years.
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• English language proficiency required by federal law.

• Deliver customer freight utilizing liftgate deliveries.
• Handle touch freight deliveries as required.
• Avg 20–25 stops per week and about 1,200 miles per week.

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
• 48' trailers, 53' trailers, straight trucks, automatic transmissions, and day cabs
• Equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras, helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Serve as a vacation coverage floater driver supporting multiple dedicated accounts
• Deliver customer freight utilizing liftgate deliveries
• Handle touch freight deliveries as required
• Average 20-25 delivery stops per week and approximately 1,200 miles per week
• Maintain professional and courteous customer service

Schedule:

• Sunday night through Friday night workweek
• Dispatch between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM
• Consistent dispatch times throughout each week, varying week-to-week based on vacation coverage needs
• Average 40 to 45 hours per week

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
