Job summary

Red Boot Beverage is seeking a CDL Truck Driver on second shift in Des Moines, IA. You will safely load, transport, and deliver goods between warehouse locations, maintain logs, and adhere to GMP/safety standards. DOT rules apply; a valid Class A CDL and clean MVR are required, with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

  • Active Class A CDL License; Motor Vehicle Report required.
  • Successfully pass DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Minimum 1 year experience operating Class A vehicle.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Excellent safety record.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to certify within 30 days.
  • General computer skills for data entry and inventory lookup.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates a semi (yard spotter), lift trucks and related equipment to transport goods between warehouses.
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment logs; perform routine maintenance checks.
  • Drive safely and adhere to company policies.
  • Load/unload products from trailers; use warehouse systems for inventory accuracy.
  • Perform order picking, shipping and receiving; use scanners and labels.
  • Inspect warehouse and equipment for hazards and maintenance needs.
  • Maintain clean, safe vehicle/warehouse environment; follow safety policies.

Truck Driver – Class A CDL

(Second Shift 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM)

Position Summary The CDL Truck Driver role is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering raw and finished goods used in beverage production between local warehouse locations.

Employment offers are contingent upon successfully completing all DOT-required testing for a valid Class A CDL license.

Second Shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM)

Position Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation, and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Safely operates a semi (yard spotter), lift trucks, including clamp trucks and cherry pickers, to transport goods to various warehouses.
  • Ensures regular maintenance checkups and keeps a maintenance log
  • Drives safely and adheres to company policies
  • Loads and unloads products from trailers and tracks containers using warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Conducts order picking and shipping and receiving tasks as needed; use scanner guns and print labels for proper identification of incoming and outgoing products.
  • Conducts thorough inspections of the warehouse and lift trucks to identify any potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Maintains a clean and organized vehicle and warehouse environment, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
  • Cultivates and promotes a strong safety culture and follows all safety policies, procedures and regulations; identify and communicates workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions; participates in safety meetings as required.
  • Meets all GMP, SQF, and safety requirements; participate in food and safety meetings.
  • Assists all other departments as directed.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Class A CDL License; Motor Vehicle Record Report Required
  • Successfully pass DOT physical and drug screen
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience operating Class A vehicle
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently (bi-lingual a plus)
  • Excellent safety record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift experience; certified or willingness to get certified within thirty (30) days
  • General computer skills: data entry and search features to locate inventory and/or storage location
  • This is a regular, full-time position with assigned shift located onsite.
  • The ability to be available for work daily and extended hours as necessary.
  • Work is performed in a vehicle and/or warehouse environment, manufacturing plant and occasionally outside in what may be adverse weather conditions.
  • The work environment can involve exposure to heat, cold, humidity, moving machinery, extreme noise, visual strain, confined spaces, fumes, odors, dust mists, and gases.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
  • This position requires long periods sitting/driving a forklift, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing and operating machinery.
  • The employee should be able to lift and/or move items up to up to 50 pounds many times per day.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
