Job summary

Penske is hiring a CDL Class A Truck Driver for local routes in California. You will drive late-model Penske trucks, deliver parts to automotive dealerships, and return home daily. Competitive pay includes opportunities for performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements include a valid CDL, DOT medical card, and a clean driving record. You will operate safely with in-cab cameras and comply with DOT safety standards while earning a weekly pay schedule and generous

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license and domicile in the U.S.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency (DOT requirement)
• Background check and drug screening required
• This position is safety sensitive under DOT rules

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailers using pallet jacks, hand trucks and rolling cages
• Use scanners to log products as they are unloaded and delivered
• Work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed

What you will do:

• Work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed
• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered

Schedule:

• Dispatch times will vary depending on work assignment
• Local, home daily
• Home Daily

• Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
