Job summary

Penske Logistics in Plainfield, IN is hiring for a full-time Class A CDL Truck Driver to deliver palletized food products on a dedicated route, with home daily and about 1100 miles per week. Dispatch at 5:00 AM and Monday–Saturday schedule.

You will operate late-model trucks with safety features, unload with pallet jack, and enjoy comprehensive benefits from day one including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and driver referral and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• DOT medical card current.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years.
• English language proficiency.
• Willingness to work a Monday–Saturday schedule.

• Perform approximately 40 delivery stops per week.
• Unload freight using an electric pallet jack and hand cart.

You will drive:

• Late model Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• 53' automatic reefer trailers and day cab trucks

What you will do:

Schedule:

• Monday through Saturday

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
