Job summary

Penske is hiring full-time CDL Class A Truck Drivers to work Home daily with weekends off in the Nashville area. You will operate late-model Penske trucks with in-cab cameras, delivering dock-to-dock freight and maintaining a professional demeanor with customers.

The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to train and advance within a nationwide carrier.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and domiciled in the U.S.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required or ability to obtain
• 1 year tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Home Daily Class A CDL Truck Drivers

Earn $28.56 per hour

Overtime after 40 hours per week

Home daily

Weekends off

You will drive:

Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks

Best-in-class specs designed for comfort

Equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Dock to Dock Deliveries
• Heavy touch Freight
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers

Schedule:

• 5 day work week: Monday through Friday
• Dispatch time ranges between 2am to 5am

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence

Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required

1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years

3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents

Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.

Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
