Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers in Indianapolis, IN. The role features an average annual pay of about $110,000, with a safety bonus up to $1,000 per year.

Drivers operate late-model Penske trucks, home daily, with flex routes and occasional travel to Fort Wayne and other states. Responsibilities include delivering freight, handling pallets with jacks, overnight lifts, and maintaining a professional relationship with customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and domiciled in the U.S.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required or able to obtain
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer violations/accidents
• Compliance with all federal/state laws and safety rules
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential
• English language proficiency required by federal law
• Background investigation and drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver freight to customer locations
• Average about 60 delivery stops per week
• Touch freight with pallet jacks (manual/electric)
• Make overnight deliveries using liftgate equipment
• Travel as needed to support customer routes
• Maintain a professional demeanor with customers

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
• 48' and 53' trailers, straight trucks, and automatic day-cab equipment
• Equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Transport and deliver freight to customer locations
• Average 60 delivery stops per week
• Touch freight using manual and electric pallet jacks
• Make overnight deliveries using liftgate equipment
• Travel as needed to support customer routes
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 pm dispatch
• Overnight routes
• 50 hours worked per week on average

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
