Penske Logistics is hiring full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers in Grand Prairie, TX. You will handle 65+ weekly multi-stop deliveries to stores, load/unload with hand dolly and lift gate, and maintain customer interactions with professionalism. Expect a mostly home daily schedule with potential layovers and 5-day work weeks.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and domiciled in the U.S.
• DOT medical card required
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all laws, regulations and guidelines
• Work schedule and location compliance; background check and drug screen required
• Role is safety sensitive under DOT regulations; must stay alert and safe

What you will do

• 65 plus weekly multi-stop deliveries to stores of a major coffee chain
• High volume loading and unloading utilizing hand dolly and lift gate to unload coffee and milk products from a refrigerated trailer
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
• Scan items as they are unloaded and delivered

Schedule

• Scheduling flexibility required as dispatch times will vary
• 5-day work week, with weekends required
• Mostly home daily with the possibility of layovers
• Consecutive days off during the week

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
