Job summary

Penske is hiring Full-time Home Daily Class A CDL Truck Drivers. You will drive late-model Penske trucks, delivering bread products to customer locations with pre-stacked dollies. Expect 5–15 stops weekly, some routes in Brooklyn, and home daily with strong benefits.

Average annual compensation is around $92,000 with Friday pay, robust benefits, and opportunities for referrals and incentive programs. Excellent driving record and compliance with DOT rules are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and domiciled in the U.S.
• DOT medical card required to operate interstate
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience (or 2 years in last 5)
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer violations
• English language proficiency required
• Background check and drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Deliver bread products to customer locations using pre-stacked dollies and perform roll-off/roll-on deliveries
• No store deliveries; unload palletized product with electric pallet jack as needed
• Provide outstanding customer service in a professional manner
• Average 5–15 stops per week; some routes include Brooklyn deliveries

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
• Equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Deliver bread products to customer locations using pre-stacked wheeled dollies, providing efficient roll-off deliveries and roll-on returns
• No store deliveries required
• Unload palletized product as needed using an electric pallet jack
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
• Average 5-15 stops per week
• Some routes include deliveries throughout Brooklyn

Schedule:

• Consistent 5-day work week
• Dispatch times between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM
• Tuesday and Saturday off
• Sixth-day incentive available for additional earning opportunities

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
