Job summary

Penske Logistics is hiring full-time CDL Class A truck drivers to deliver grocery freight dock-to-dock across New York City and its five boroughs. You’ll operate late-model Penske trucks with in-cab cameras, ensuring safety and on-time performance.

The role offers competitive pay with an average of $105,000 annually plus incentives (up to $10,400, plus a $3,000 safety incentive and weekend premiums). Home daily and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and domiciled in the U.S.
• Ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• Clean DMV/MVR record with <=2 violations/accidents
• Compliance with laws and safety rules
• Regular, predictable attendance and safety awareness

Responsibilities

• Deliver grocery freight to a major grocery chain including freezer, cooler, and dry products
• Dock-to-dock deliveries with no pallet breakdowns
• Unload and stage product in store areas
• Maintain professional demeanor with customers
• Deliveries throughout New York City and all five boroughs

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Home Daily Class A CDL Truck Drivers

• Average earnings of $105,000 annually
• Additional shift premium incentive available, up to $10,400 annually

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
• Equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Deliver grocery freight to a major grocery chain, including freezer, cooler, and dry products
• All deliveries are dock-to-dock with no pallet breakdowns required
• Unload and stage product in designated store areas
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
• Deliveries throughout New York City, including all five boroughs

Schedule:

• Dispatch window between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM
• Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday schedules available
• 5-day work week with two consecutive days off
• Weekend wrap schedule available (Friday through Monday) with additional weekend incentive pay
• $300 Weekend Wrap Premium Incentive available for drivers on the Friday-Monday schedule

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
