Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Lewistown, PA. The role offers weekly pay, strong benefits after 30 days, and the opportunity to build a driving career with a respected logistics leader.

You’ll drive on the East Coast and TX routes with a mix of sleeper, day cab, and straight trucks. Training is provided, and the company supports your growth with retirement and time off benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a Ryder Drug Test and background check including motor vehicle records for last 3 years.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with endorsements for the position.
• Experience: 9 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in past 5 years, or 5 years in past 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay: $28.00 Per Hour
• Travel Time: $20.00 Per Hour

• Tractor Type: Sleeper, Day Cabs and 26' Straight Trucks

• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight: Touch – Varies
• Enhanced license or Passport to travel to Canada within 90 days of hire
• Would cover multiple Ryder accounts in the East Coast

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
