Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Warwick, RI. The role offers weekly pay, strong benefits, and a driving career with safety at the core. You can earn a weekly average of $1,950, plus a safety bonus and sign-on bonuses at 30 and 90 days.

Ryder drivers operate well maintained, modern trucks and enjoy paid training, 401(k) with company match, PTO from day one, and employee discounts. The position requires DOT certification, a clean MVR, and valid endorsements.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL with endorsements.
• 9 months of tractor trailer experience in last 3 years OR 2 years in last 5 years OR 5 years in last 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder drug test and background/motor vehicle checks including prior employer record checks.
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading when required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities
