Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Rocky Mount, VA. The role offers weekly pay, solid benefits, and a path for driving excellence.

Pay starts at $1,730+ per week. Schedule is Friday through Tuesday with 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM start flexibility. Regional routes and touch freight on 53' dry vans.

Formación

• Must have Class A CDL with endorsements
• Minimum 9 months of experience in past 3 years, or 2 years in 5 years, or 5 years in 10 years
• Must pass Ryder drug test
• Must pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug/alcohol verification
• Must pass a DOT physical
• Must pass a Ryder road test

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards and maintain records
• Load/unload freight as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Sign on Bonus: $3,000 1/2 at 30 days 1/2 at 90 days
• Loyalty Bonus: $3,000 1/2 at 6 months 1/2 at one yaer
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.61 per Mile
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Friday - Tuesday
• Start Time: Could start as early as 7:00 AM or as late as 5:00 PM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
