Job summary

Ryder in Waco, Texas is seeking a Class A CDL Floater Truck Driver. The role offers weekly pay, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package, with routes including regional travel and multiple endorsements. The schedule is Sunday - Thursday with support across locations.

Experience with tractor trailers, Hazmat endorsement (within 90 days), and a strong safety record are required. Training on equipment and safety procedures is provided to ensure success on the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.565 per Mile with 2000 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$19.00 per Stop with 10 - 20 Stops per Weeks
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Sunday - Thursday
• Dispatch: 10AM - 5PM with deliveries next day between 6AM - 8AM
• Must be willing to assist at other locations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years

• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
