Job summary

Ryder in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. Expect weekly pay, safety bonuses, sign-on bonuses, paid training, and a driving career you can feel good about.

You will operate Sleeper trucks with APUs on routes from North Dakota to Texas and across the eastern states and Canada, with home every other week. Join a team that prioritizes safety and offers 24/7 support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solo on routes from North Dakota to Texas and across all eastern states, including Canada.
• Operate sleepers with APUs on Dry Van and Conestoga trailers.
• Safety-driven driving with load securement and customer- or job-site coordination as needed.
• Home every other week and maintain regular communications with the dispatcher.
