The role requires a CDL, at least two years of truck driving experience and forklift operation, with strong attention to safety, accurate load verification, and thorough completion of shipping paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily time cards, driver logs, and other reports accurately.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and housekeeping.
• Report maintenance needs to supervision promptly.

SUMMARY: The Truck Driver position is responsible for safely and efficiently operator a tractor-trailer or bobtail truck to deliver sheets or finished products to customers and in accordance with state laws.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFrequent sitting for extended periods of time.Load/unload or assist in loading/unloading finished product in or from trailer.Inspect load in trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and it is the correct load before leaving.Verify count while truck is being unloaded, as allowed by customers.Transport load by required route to proper destination while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.Obtain shipping bill of lading and necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to shipping office.Complete daily time card, driver logs, and all other work reports accurately and in a timely manner.Report any maintenance items to supervision immediately. Be proactive in the maintenance of the truck and trailers.Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Carolina Container Company is an equal opportunity employer.
