Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Winchester, VA for a regional driving role with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. You will operate Dry Van and Flatbed, with pay comprised of per-mile, per-stop, per-night, and bonuses.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with start times from 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM; routes include Mid Atlantic, New England, some Midwest and NYC areas. Training is provided, and a strong safety culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within past 3 years, OR 2 years within past 5 years, OR 5 years within past 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Solo Miles Pay:$0.67 per Mile


• Solo Stops Pay:$26.75 per Stop, Averaging 8 - 10 Stops Per Week


• Per Diem Pay: $69 Per Night


• Possible 1- 2 Layover Per Week in Ryder Sleeper Truck


• Safety Bonus:$1200 Pays You $300 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter


• Sign On Bonus:$6000 Pays you $3000 at 30 days and $3000 at 90 days
