Position Description

We have an opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver and we want the right Driver to join us at Ryder in Omaha, NE

Compensation and Schedule

• $1350 average weekly
• Route: Regional, out 2 - 3 nights a week
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.59 per Mile with 1930 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $25.00 per Stop with 3 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night with 2 - 3 nights per Week
• Sign On Bonus: $2000, paid $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 60 days
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday
• Start Time: 12:00 PM

• Tractor Type: Sleeper or Dry Van
• Trailer Type: 53' Dry Van or Reefer
• Equipment: Pallet Jack
• Freight: Touch – Food Products & Home Goods

Additional Information

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and Company Drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Benefits include uniforms, cell phone and boot allowance, Paid Personal Time Off starting at Day 1 (80 hours in the first year), paid vacation if unused, medical/dental/vision coverage starting at 30 days, 12 weeks of paid maternity leave, immediate 401k rollover and company match after one year, and employee discounts.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements
• 9 months experience in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5 years, OR 5 years in the last 10 years
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards, maintain logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
