Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Harrisburg PA is seeking a Class A CDL Part Time Truck Driver to join our local, home-daily routes with weekly pay.

The position offers 28 hours per week at about $35.42 per hour, with start times for AM/PM shifts, 7-day operation, paid training, and USPS-related requirements.

Qualifications

• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years.
• Minimum 21 years of age; ability to pass Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining logs and records.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Truck Information

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

USPS Requirements

• A secondary background screen - Federal Level 2 conducted by the USPS to allow access to premises and/or to provide contractual services
• Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, unless there is a legal exemption

Experience

Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
