Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Gary, IN. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth within a nationwide logistics network.

Average weekly pay is around $2,050 with top earners up to $2,200. You will operate regional routes with 2–3 layovers weekly, deliver using a Liquid Tanker Trailer, and have access to sign-on and retention bonuses as part of the compensation package.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday; Rotating Sunday Dispatch
• Start Time: 3:00 AM - 6:00 AM
• Sign on Bonus: Pays you $2000 at 30 days, $2000 at 90 days
• Retention Bonus:Pays You $2000 at 6 months
• Safety Bonus:Pays You $1500 at 3 months, $1500 at 6 months and $1500 at 9 months

• Deliver SOLO to:OH, MI, IN, PA, WV, MS, AL, GA, IL, TN, AR, SC, NC, KY
• Route: Regional w/2 - 3 layovers per week

• Cannot accept automatic restriction
• Freight: No Touch - Driver will connect hoses and pressurize trailer w/assistance
• Endorsements: Tanker REQUIRED,Hazmat preferred - Ryder will train and help you obtain Hazmat.
• Tractor Type: Sleeper; Manual Transmission

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
