Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a part-time Transfer Driver to shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities. The role offers weekly pay of $660 and an hourly rate of $22, with home daily and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Start times at 8:00 AM, 30–35 hours weekly, and a sign-on bonus paid at 30, 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year. Trucks are up to 36 months old with 24/7 roadside support and fuel-up at nationwide facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check incl. drug/alcohol verification for last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience in past 3 years OR 2 years past 5 years OR 5 years past 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety & DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Weekly Pay $660 per weekAnd it gets better -

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $22.00 Per Hour

• Home Time: Local - Home Daily

• Schedule: Between Monday - Friday

• Part Time: 30 - 35 hrs weekly

• Start Time: 8:00 AM

• Sign On Bonus: Pays $250 at 30 and 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities

• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service
