Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Richmond, CA. This role offers weekly pay, extensive benefits, and a driving career with growth opportunities in a 40+ hour work week.

Drivers operate 36 months or newer trucks with 24/7 roadside maintenance and travel assistance. The position includes per diem pay, overtime after 40 hours, and a tenure bonus, with paid training and a supportive team behind you.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification for last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour Base Pay Plus Additional $1 for Every 3 Certifications/Endorsements
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Paid Travel
• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

Requirements

• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR

• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
