Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Goddard, KS. Enjoy weekly pay, robust benefits, and a driving career rooted in safety and reliability.

Expect $1350+ per week, with additional pay for weekends, stops, and bonuses such as sign-on and loyalty bonuses. Routes are home daily, with 5-day work weeks, 11:00 am–5:00 pm start times, and 24/7 support. Training is provided and equipment includes DayCab/Sleeper with 53' trailers.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.61 per (Mon -Fri) Mile with 1400 miles per week
• Weekend Premium Pay: $0.67 per mile when working Saturday or Sunday
• Weekend Premium Pay: $0.72 per mile when working both Saturday and Sunday
• Solo Stops Pay:$25.00 per Stop with 15-20 stops per week
• Sign-on Bonus: $1100 at 30 days and $1100 at 90 days
• Loyalty Bonus: $1000 at 6 months and $1000 at 1 year
• Safety Bonus: Up to $300 a Quarter
• Paid Training
• Start Time: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
• 24/7 operations — 5 Day work week with 2 consecutive days off

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
