Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in West Point, GA is looking for a Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate local shuttle routes with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role offers weekly pay, paid training, and a robust benefits package after 30 days of employment.

You will drive a Day Cab tractor with a Dry Van 53’, on a 55+ hour weekly schedule, starting at 6:00 PM on a Sunday to Friday framework with some Saturdays. 24/7 roadside support backs you up on the road.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in past 5 years, or 5 years in past 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Shift Pay: $0.50 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 55 + hours per week
• Safety Bonus: Pays $250 Four times a Year

• Schedule: Sunday – Friday; Some Saturdays
• Start Time: 6:00 PM; 12 Hour Shift
