Job summary

Responsibilities include safe driving, no-touch freight, and on-time deliveries across TN, KY, IN, MS, AL and AR. You’ll operate day cab trucks with 53' trailers and join a supportive team in a company that values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must pass Ryder drug test and background check.
• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with endorsements.
• DOT medical certification required.
• Experience in tractor-trailer: 9 months (past 3 years) or 2 years (past 5 years) or 5 years (past 10 years).
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Shutdown Bonus: Pays You $2000 within First Year
• Safety Bonus: Pays You $250 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.50 per Mile with 2500 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $9.50 per Stop with 5 - 15 Stops per Week
• Drop and Hook Pay: $6.25 per Drop/Hook
• Schedule: Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
• Start Time: Must be open to AM or PM due to Bid System

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
