Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Fort Wayne, IN for local routes with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. You will drive safe, professional, and within regulatory standards while supporting the team on daily assignments.

Ryder offers a weekly guarantee, various pay components (per mile, per stop, drop/hook), sign-on and longevity bonuses, paid training, and a supportive driving community. Eligible for PTO and health benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test, a background check, and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and safety standards.
• Load/unload freight as required or assist with loading/unloading.
• Maintain accurate logs and records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Weekly Guarantee $1385 per week
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.51 per Mile with 2500 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$10.00 per Stop with 10+ Stops per Week
• Drop and Hook Pay: $6.00 per Drop/Hook
• Shutdown Bonus: Pays You $2000 Within the First Year
• Safety Bonus: Pays You $250 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
• Sign On Bonus: Pays you $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
• Start Time: AM or PM; Depends on route bid

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
