Summary of Position:

GLT Packaging is seeking a licensed Truck Driver responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers. Duties include driving and maintaining trucks, planning routes, and tracking deliveries in collaboration with the team.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Transport goods over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail centers
• Inspect vehicles and perform preventative maintenance
• Document work/rest periods and kilometers driven
• Comply with driving regulations and company policies
• Manage truck loading and unloading
• Communicate professionally with co-workers and customers
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Audit inventory accuracy
• Verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents, and violations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a truck driver, including Hilo driving
• Experience with electronic equipment (GPS, AVL, CB)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Knowledge of trucking rules and regulations
• No recent violations
• Adaptability to unexpected situations
• Willingness to pass background and drug tests
• Trucking school diploma
• Valid truck driving license

Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• CDL A license with airbrake endorsement
