Job summary

Salvation Army in Oklahoma City is seeking a reliable delivery driver to transport merchandise to stores and customers from the ARC Oklahoma City Warehouse. You will load, secure, and unload items, perform daily vehicle inspections, and coordinate pickups from the garage as needed.

Valid state driver’s license and DOT medical card are required; CDL is desirable but not required. This role is a full-time, on-site position based in Oklahoma City, OK 73106.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• One year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van or equivalent training/experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise to stores and customers.
• Load and secure items on trucks in an organized manner.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Pick up vehicles from the garage as needed.

Job Location: ARC-OKLAHOMA CITY ARC WAREHOUSE - Oklahoma City, OK 73106, Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.00 Hourly, Job Category: Store, Responsible for being knowledgeable of the geographical area assigned and operates the vehicle within state/federal statutes and/or guidelines. Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public. Deliver merchandise to stores and deliver sold merchandise to customers. Perform special pickups and deliveries, pick up vehicles at the garage, and other similar activities. Clean and secure the vehicle and equipment; conduct daily inspections of the vehicle's oil, water, tires, and other items of the vehicle to maintain good operating condition. Load store deliveries and sold merchandise on trucks in the most organized manner.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required and one year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid State Driver's License
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Valid Commercial Driver's License, desired but not required.
