Job description

A Day In The Life

• Operator will drive either a straight truck or tractor-trailer to haul required products locally or out of town. Operator will be required to spot trailers for loading and unloading, perform other truck duties as directed by the supervisor, which may include warehouse work.
• Responsibilities include transporting products between shipping departments, moving parts, stocks, and other items between facilities, making over-the-road runs, loading and unloading flatbed trucks, staging on docks as needed, and maintaining required records such as shuttle move logs and daily vehicle inspection logs.
• Operator will also be responsible for maintaining trucks through cleaning, checking oil, and general vehicle maintenance.

Must pass the Packing and Shipping Operator’s Test and satisfy Department of Transportation requirements, including possessing a Class A CDL and a current medical certificate card before starting work. The company will facilitate the addition of the Haz-mat endorsement to the license.

• Ability to perform work for at least eight hours.
• Full use of both hands, good vision, and ability to walk.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist and from waist to floor, and periodically lift 90 lbs.
